Bittersweet Farm
Bittersweet Farm is located in the beautiful endless mountain regions of Northeast Pennsylvania. Bittersweet is a fast-growing farm that specializes in breeding quality Irish draught horses, Irish Draught sport horses and Connemara ponies. Our babies make wonderful mounts for upper level competitors wishing to excel in Dressage and 3-day and Hunter/Jumpers.

High Breeding Standards
Here at Bittersweet Farm, our goal is to produce top quality horses while preserving high breed standards. From professionals to Olympians to the average family that just wants a kind horse to love, the irish draught and connemaras are unique in its ability to suit the needs of a vast array of riders. Irish draught horses' athleticism and biddable personalities are second to none - their conformation, large bone and physic have enabled them to be sound, hardy partners for years and years.

The Connemara
Coming from the mountain coasts of western Ireland, the Connemara has developed into a rugged hardy pony. They are renowned for their gentle, sensible personality and true versatility. They are faboulous jumpers and excel in the dressage with free movement and unbelievable atheletism. Connemaras really CAN DO IT ALL.

Our Foals
Bittersweet Farm is committed to bringing our foals up correctly. Through good nutrition and daily handling, they become lovely, sound horses without being spoiled. All are started under saddle with patience and their best interest in mind. The end product is a happy horse that is well suited for most disciplines - a willing partner and friend.
